Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries (HSC) is a comprehensive heavy machinery manufacturer. Their product line includes standard machines such as reducers and injection molding machines. Additionally, they are involved in environmental plants, industrial machinery, construction machinery, and shipbuilding. HSC was formed through the merger of Hitachi Construction Machinery and Sumitomo Heavy Industrie's crawler crane businesses. Recently, Sumitomo acquired Hitachi’s stake in HSC, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo.
